Thomas Alsgaard set to race in Patria Direct Jizerska 50

Multiple Olympic and World Champion Thomas Alsgaard will be one of the stars in starting lineup of Patria Direct Jizerska 50, which takes place on January 8-10 2010. Norwegian skier was at Bedrichov, Czech republic also last year and finished 17.

"I was impressed by the nature, the nice course and all the people. The race was very good organized, and I am looking forward to come back," says Thomas Alsgaard. "The course was very good. Very different from all the other Marathon races - long hard uphill's and a very though course. Vasaloppet is off course tough, and Birkebeineren. Then comes Jizerska 50."

Not only famous skiers, but everybody is welcomed in the race. Online registration is closed at the moment, but you can still register from Thursday January 7 to Saturday January 9 onsite. The on-site starting fee is: 50 km in classical style: 1,600 CZK; 25 km in classical style: 1,300 CZK and 30 km in free style: 1,000 CZK.
