The Norwegian jazz experimenter Jan Bang accompanied by the excellent guitarist Eivind Aarset will perform on 2 February at Akropolis and exhibit together what live remixing looks like in practice. Another guest of the evening will be their fellow countrywoman and legend of Norwegian jazz, singer Sidsel Endressen, double winner of the Norwegian music award.
Jan Bang is known for his concert improvisations – in a unique way Bang uses a sampler in real time and shows unprecedented possibilities of manipulation with sound. At Palác Akropolis you will have the opportunity to hear a radical form of modern jazz that rather than worshiping the classic, honors the uncompromising sound search and interconnection of current genres of alternative music with modern technologies.
