On 11 May 18:00-23:00, the festival Literature Night is taking place in Prague for the fifth time. Famous Czech personalities will be reading at some of Prague's most remarkable venues from the works of contemporary European writers. Within the festival, the novel "Walk. Or the art of living a wild and poetic life" by the Norwegian author Tomas Espedal will be presented.

Stories. Every day we live them. Or pass them by. City. Every day we walk it, yet we pass it by. Literature Night. An encounter with stories and the unfamiliar face of the city.
For the fifth time in Prague Literature Night will present a representative selection of contemporary European literature and unveil the charms of both “big“ and “small“ literatures. During one night Czech celebrities will read extracts from the works of contemporary European writers at some of Prague's most remarkable venues .
Twenty interesting venues will come alive with literature in Prague Libeň – a district closely associated with one of the foremost Czech writers Bohumil Hrabal.
The audiences will have a chance to get acquainted with the best of the contemporary European literary scene and to discover for themselves “a different” Prague. The extraordinary shared reading experience will be enhanced by the combination of an interesting text, attractive venue and unique performance.
