Scandinavian House would like to invite you to the launch the short stories anthology Se světem nepohneš, which is to be held on Wednesday 8th of February 2012 from 19 am in the student club K4 (Celetná 20, Prague 1). At the event you can among others enjoy reading excerpts of selected stories and typical northern dish – waffles.
The event will be held in Czech.
Admission: voluntary contribution.
At the event there will be possible to buy the anthology Se světem nepohneš for a reduced price.
Se světem nepohneš
Stories in the anthology Se světem nepohneš, published by Pistorius & Olšanská publishing house in September 2011, were translated by students and graduates from the Faculty of Arts at Charles University in Prague. The whole project was organised thanks to the translator Jarka Vrbová. Young translators selected not only the already known Norwegian writers like Jostein Gaarder or Lars Saabye Christensen, but also writers who have been translated in Czech for the first time – for example Tor Ulven or Johan Harstad.
