Films from four Nordic countries will be represented at the Nordic Film Autumn 2011 and all together eleven movies will be shown. In Prague and Brno the films will be screened parallel during four days with each day having a distinct theme. On Thursday the 17th November, the theme will be Polar Circle at Hand, and films about two Nordic Islands, Greenland and Island will be screened.
The theme for Friday the 18th is Way of Crime, and the Norwegian documentary Nokas from 2010 is one of the chosen films this day. Nokas tells the story of the largest bank robbery in Norway, which took place in the summer of 2004. Venturing Women is the theme for the third day of the Nordic Film Autumn 2011 in Prague and Brno, and the films screened on Saturday the 19th all portray courageous women.
On Sunday 20th November the film The Greatest Thing (2001) a co-production between Danish and Norwegian filmmakers, will be shown together with three other movies under the theme On the Stage. While Sunday mark the last day of screening in Brno and Prague, the Nordic Film Autumn festival will start in Olomouc, Uherské Hradiště and Beroun on the following Monday.
