In the beautiful scenery of the Imperial Stables at the Prague Castle has been opened an exhibition of fresh works of beginning glass-making artists and design glass of the most famous European artists. Norway is represented by young artist Lene Tangen. The exhibition at the Imperial Stables at the Prague Castle will welcome you from September 16th to October 31st, 2011.
Prague again becomes the heart of the glass-making, the place where the traditions of individual countries meet and art inspiring atmosphere of new qualities is created. The exhibition will present works of the youngest glass-making generation, fresh graduates from around the world who will compete for Stanislav Libenský Award.
A specific feature of this year’s exhibition is then a part focused on the current phenomenon of everyday used objects design. An exposition Glass.Design is a testimony to the vigor, creativity and promising future of European glass-making industry, it is a unique display of novelties in glass-making design from the studios of famous European companies, among which, of course, even the Czech ones do not miss.
